Replacing the styling attach-
ments
Important

Do not exchange the styling attachments until
they and the appliance have sufficiently
cooled.
1 Unplug the plug of the power cord
at the wall socket.
2 Turn the collar fastener in a clockwise direc-
tion up to the limit stop.
3 Pull off the styling attachment.
4 Precisely insert another styling
attachment (see the four contacts and vertical
locking retainers on the styling attachment, as
well as the horizontal position of the mark on
the collar fastener) and insert up to the limit
stop.
5 Turn the collar fastener in a clockwise direc-
tion up to the limit stop.
Important

Ensure the styling attachment really is securely
attached.

Switching on and off
Check whether the mains voltage given on the
rating plate (on the handle of the appliance)
matches the local mains voltage.
1 Insert required styling attachment.
2 Place the appliance on the stand.
3 Insert the plug of the power cord into the
wall socket.
4 Use the temperature controller to set the
required temperature setting.
5 Switch on the appliance by pressing the button
(ON) for a few seconds.
– The indicator flashes blue.
– If the set temperature setting is reached the
power on indicator is constantly lit.
6 Place the appliance on the stand.
7 Switch off the appliance by pressing the button
(OFF) and keeping it pressed until the
power on indicator goes out.
8 Unplug the plug of the power cord at the
wall socket.
Important

Never wind the power cord around the
appliance as this can damage the cable.
Please check the power cord and appliance
regularly for visible damage.
