Top keys
q POWER KEY [PWR] (pgs. 8, 43)
Push for 2 sec. to turn the HM-127 power ON or OFF
when the IC-M402A power is turned ON.
w SCAN KEY [SCAN• ] (pgs. 13, 46)
➥ Starts and stops Normal or Priority scan when tag chan-
nels are programmed.
➥ Push [SCAN• ] for 1 sec. to set the displayed chan-
nel as a tag (scanned) channel.
➥ While pushing [H/L], push for 3 sec. to clear or set all
tag channels.
e TRANSMIT POWER KEY [H/L]
➥ Toggles high or low power when pushed. (pgs. 8, 43)
• Some Channels are set to low power only.
➥ While pushing this key, other keys perform secondary
functions.
➥ Toggles the All key lock function ON or OFF when
pushed while turning power ON. (p. 44)
•“ T ” blinks while the All key lock function is in use.
• Only [PWR] and [PTT] function when the All key lock func-
tion is in use.
■ Function display
q CHANNEL GROUP INDICATOR (pgs. 7, 42)
Indicates whether an International “INT,” U.S.A. “USA” or
Canadian “CAN” channel is selected.
w KEY LOCK INDICATOR (p. 44)
➥ Appears while the Key lock function is in use.
➥ Blinks while the All key lock function is in use.
e CHANNEL NUMBER READOUT
➥ Indicates the selected operating channel number.
“A” appears when a simplex channel is selected. “b” ap-
pears when a receive only channel for a Canadian
channel group is selected. (pgs. 6, 42)
➥ In Set mode, indicates the selected condition.
