Cleaning the side brushes
After some time, uff, hairs and threads start to accumulate around the shafts of the side brushes. To
ensure proper functioning, clean the side brushes and the shafts from time to time.
1 Make sure the on/off switch is in ‘off’ position.
2 Placetherobotupsidedownonaatsurface.
3 Grab one of the side brushes by its bristles (Fig. 29).
4 Pull the side brush upwards to remove it from the shaft (Fig. 30).
5 Removeuff,hairsandthreadsfromtheshaftandfromthesidebrushwithasoftbrush(e.g.
a toothbrush) or a cloth (Fig. 31).
6 Push the side brush back onto the shaft (Fig. 32).
7 Repeat steps 2 to 5 for the other shaft and the other side brush.
Storage
1 Switch off the robot by setting the on/off switch to ‘off’ position.
2 Emptythedustcontainerandcleanthelter(seechapter‘Cleaningandmaintenance’).
3 Remove the side brushes from their shafts.
4 Store the robot in a dry place with a temperature of at least 15°C.
Note: After a long period of storage, always charge the robot before you switch it on.
Replacement
Replacing the lter
Replace the lter if it can no longer be cleaned properly.
1 Make sure the on/off switch is in ‘off’ position.
2 Remove the dust container from the robot (see steps 2 to 4 of chapter ‘Cleaning and
maintenance’, section ‘Emptying and cleaning the dust container’).
3 Carefullyliftthelidoffthedustcontainerandremovetheoldlter.Emptythedust
container (Fig. 33).
4 Placethenewlterinthedustcontainerandplacethelidonthedustcontainer(Fig.34).
5 Put back the dust container and the dust container compartment cover (see steps 10 and 11
of chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’, section ‘Empying and cleaning the dust container’).
Replacing the side brushes
Replace the side brushes after some time to ensure proper cleaning results.
Note: Always replace the side brushes when you notice signs of wear. We also recommend that you
replace both side brushes at the same time.
1 Make sure the on/off switch is in ‘off’ position.
2 Placetherobotupsidedownonaatsurface.
3 Grab one side brush by its bristles and pull it off the shaft (Fig. 30).
4 Push the new side brush onto the shaft (Fig. 32).
