Read this before using the speakers.

• Toassurethenestperformance,pleasereadthismanual

carefully.Keepitinasafeplaceforfuturereference.

• Installthespeakersinacool,dry,cleanplace–away

fromwindows,heatsources,sourcesofexcessive

vibration,dust,moistureandcold.Avoidsourcesof

humming(transformers,motors).Topreventreor

electricalshock,donotexposethespeakerstorainor

water.

• Topreventtheenclosurefromwarpingordiscoloring,

donotplacethespeakerswheretheywillbeexposedto

directsunlightorexcessivehumidity.

• Donotplacethefollowingobjectsonthespeakers:

 Glass,china,etc.

Ifglassetc.fallsbyvibrationsandbreaks,itmay

causepersonalinjury.

 Aburningcandleetc.

Ifthecandlefallsbyvibrations,itmaycausereand

personalinjury.

 Avesselwithwaterinit

Ifthevesselfallsbyvibrationsandwaterspills,itmay

causedamagetothespeakers,and/oryoumayget

anelectricshock.

• Donotplacethespeakerswhereforeignobjectssuchas

waterdripsmightfall.Itmightcauseare,damagetothe

speakers,and/orpersonalinjury.

• Donotplacethespeakerwhereitisliabletobeknocked

overorstruckbyfallingobjects.Stableplacementwill

alsoensurebettersoundperformance.

PRECAUTIONS

• Placingthespeakersonthesameshelforrackasthe

turntablecanresultinfeedback.

• Neverputahandoraforeignobjectintotheportlocated

onthefrontofthespeakerasthismightcausepersonal

injuryand/ordamagetothespeaker.

• Whenmovingthespeaker,donotholdtheportasitmight

causepersonalinjuryand/ordamagetothespeaker.

• Anytimeyounotedistortion,reducethevolumecontrol

onyourampliertoalowersetting.Neverallowyour

ampliertobedriveninto“clipping”.Otherwisethe

speakersmaybedamaged.

• Whenusinganamplierwitharatedoutputpower

higherthanthenominalinputpowerofthespeakers,

careshouldbetakennevertoexceedthespeakers’

maximuminput.

• Donotattempttocleanthespeakerswithchemical

solventsasthismightdamagethenish.Useaclean,

drycloth.

• Donotattempttomodifyorxthespeakers.Contact

qualiedYAMAHAservicepersonnelwhenanyservice

isneeded.Thecabinetshouldneverbeopenedforany

reasons.

• Asthisunitisheavy,wheneveritismoved,twopeople

arerequiredtotransportitsafely.

• Secure placement or installation is the owner’s

responsibility.

YAMAHA shall not be liable for any accident caused

by improper placement or installation of speakers.

• Type: 3-way, 4-speaker bass-reﬂex ﬂoor standing tower speaker for main channels.

• Woofer: Dual 16 cm A-PMD cone, Midrange: 13 cm A-PMD cone, Tweeter: 3 cm Aluminum dome.

Taking care of the speaker

Tomaintainthespotlessglossysurfaceofthe

polishednish,wipeitwithasoft,drycloth.To

avoiddamagetothenish,donotapplychemical

solvents,suchasalcohol,benzine,thinner,

insecticide,etc.Also,donotuseadampcloth,or

anytypeofcloththatcontainschemicalsolvents,or

placeaplasticorvinylsheetontopofthespeaker.

Otherwise,thenishmaypeel,thecolormayfade,

orthesheetmaysticktothesurface.
