Playing MP3/WMA/AAC/WAV files
This unit can play back files with the extension
code <.mp3>, <.wma>, <.m4a>, or <.wav>
(regardless of the letter case—upper/lower).
This unit can show the names of albums, artists
(performer), and Tag (Version 1.0, 1.1, 2.2, 2.3, or
2.4) for the MP3/WMA/AAC/WAV files.
This unit can play back MP3/WMA/AAC/WAV files
meeting the conditions below:
MP3:
Bit rate: 32 kbps — 320 kbps
Sampling frequency:
48 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 32 kHz (for MPEG-1)
24 kHz, 22.05 kHz, 16 kHz (for MPEG-2)
WMA:
Bit rate: 32 kbps — 320 kbps
Sampling frequency: 48 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 32 kHz,
22.05 kHz
Channel: Mono/stereo
AAC:
Bit rate: 16 kbps — 320 kbps
Sampling frequency: 48 kHz, 44.1 kHz
WAV:
Sampling frequency: 44.1 kHz
Channel: 2 ch
This unit can display one-byte characters and
characters written by Simplified Chinese (GB18030),
Traditional Chinese (Big5), Russian (CP1251),
Korean (CP949), Thai (CP874), Turkish (CP1254),
Arabic (CP1256), Persian (CP1256), and unicode
format.
The maximum number of characters for folder and
file names is 25 characters if “Language” is set to
“English” and 12 – 25 characters if “Language” is
set to “ ,” “ ,” ”
,” “ ,”
РУCCKИЙ,” “Türkçe,” “ ,” “ ,” or “Auto”
(see also page 40).
The maximum number of characters for MP3/WAV/
AAC/WMA Tag is:
MP3/WAV/AAC: 128 characters for English;
64 characters for other selected
language
WMA: 64 characters for English;
32 characters for other selected
language
This unit can play back files recorded in VBR (variable
bit rate).
Files recorded in VBR have a discrepancy in elapsed
time indication.
This unit cannot play back the following files:
MP3 files encoded with MP3i and MP3 PRO format.
MP3 files encoded with Layer 1/2.
WMA files encoded with lossless, professional, and
voice format.
WMA files which are not based upon Windows
Media® Audio.
WMA files copy-protected with DRM.
AAC files created by any other application than
iTunes.
AAC files encoded with Apple lossless format.
WAV files encoded using MS-ADPCM.
Files which have the data such as AIFF, ATRAC3,
etc.
Playing DivX files
This unit can play back DivX files with the extension
code <.divx>, <.div>, <.avi> (regardless of the
letter case—upper/lower).
This unit supports DivX Media Format files, <.divx>
or <.avi>.
This unit can display a unique registration code—
DivX Video-on-Demand (VOD—a kind of Digital
Rights Management). For activation and more
details, visit <www.divx.com/vod>.
Audio stream should conform to MP3 or Dolby
Digital.
This unit does not support GMC (Global Motion
Compression).
The file encoded in the interlaced scanning mode
may not be played back correctly.
This unit cannot play back the following files:
Files encoded in Codec (Compressor-decompressor)
other than DivX Codec.
The maximum bit rate for video signals (average) is
4 Mbps.
