VS481C User Manual

Preparation

To prepare for the firmware upgrade, do the following:

1. Use an RS-232 cable to connect a COM port on your computer to the RS-

232 serial port of your VS481C.

2. Unplug the VS481C’s power adapter.

3. Hold-down front panel pushbutton 1 and plug the power adapter into the

VS481C to power the unit.

4. If successful, all the port LEDs will start flashing and you can start the

upgrade process as explained on the next page.
