• The appliance is equipped with an energy-saving standby function. The appliance switches to standby

mode if no further button is pressed within two minutes after connection to the power supply resp.

• The taste of beverages containing coffee depends on the quality of the used coffee or espresso beans. A

requirement for the aromatic preparation of beverages with coffee is the perfect grinding of the roasted

beans as this is increasing the surface for the contact with water and thus, the release of ﬂ avours.

• A roasted coffee bean contains more than 1,000 different ﬂ avouring substances. The ﬁ ner the grinding,

the more substances are released.

• After a few minutes already, the ground powder is losing more than 50 % of its ﬂ avour. Therefore,

coffee specialists recommend storing whole coffee beans and only grinding the quantity just needed.
