Pressure valve for locking the lid

Lid locking not activated:

• The valve pin in the lid recess is not visible. The pressure inside of the pot is

not sufﬁcient enough to activate the lid locking.

• The lid can be opened.

Lid locking activated:

• The valve pin in the lid recess is visible. The pressure inside of the pot has

increased so much that the lid locking is activated.

• The lid is safely closed.

Preparing the appliance for use

1.) Check and insert gasket ring

• Check the gasket ring for damage prior to every use. A damaged gasket ring prevents the generation of

steam pressure. If the gasket ring is damaged, he must not be used any longer and has to be replaced.

NOTE: A new gasket ring can be purchased at your service point.

2.) Check valve and pin for lid locking ( 9 + 13 )

• Check the ease of movement by moving the valve up and down. Pay attention that the valve can be

moved without effort and that the transparent valve cap shows no damages and is placed correctly

on the valve pin. If the valve cap is damaged, it may not be used anymore and must be replaced.

NOTE: A new valve cap can be purchased at your service point.

3.) Check safety bolt for lid locking ( 10 )

• Check the ease of movement by moving the safety bolt back and forth. Make sure that the safety

bolt can be moved without any effort.

4.) Check steam outlet valve ( 7 + 8 )

• Check if the large black valve cap is placed correctly in the recess on top of the lid and on the valve pin.

• Check the transparent seal at the bottom of the valve cap for any damages.

• Check if the button for release of the steam pressure can be pushed without effort. Thereby the

black valve cap must move upwards resp. downwards.

5.) Place the pot on the heating plate in the pressure container. Pay attention that the heating plate is free

from residues.

6.) Insert the power cord (connector) into the port on the back of the appliance. Pay attention to a ﬁrm

and correct ﬁtting of the power cord. If the power cord is too loose, this may result in damages at the

cable and the plug.

7.) Insert the other side of the power cord to a socket. A signal tone sounds, both points in the middle of

the time/temperature display are ﬂashing. The appliance is ready for use.
