Potential faults
Checks required
Device does not heat
up
- Check that the main automatic switches are closed, and the
overload switch is not inhibiting the power supply to the device.
- Check the room air temperature. If the temperature is too high, the
heating indicator light C will not be lit: the device does not heat up.
- Deactivate and then reactivate the heating function using the mode
selection wheel a.
- If indicator light C is permanently (continuously) flashing: the
measurement sensor is faulty. It must be replaced. To do so
contact the manufacturer's local After-Sales service office.
- Check that the device is not locked in anti-freezing mode.
- Check that the device is not locked at a low temperature value.
Otherwise, unlock the device and increase the temperature value
using the temperature control wheel d (see p. 6).
Device continuously
operating in heating
mode
- Check whether the device is installed in a place exposed to an air
current, or whether the temperature settings have been changed.
- There may be fluctuations in the mains. If a problem occurs
(thermostat stuck, etc.), disconnect the coil from the power source
(using the cut-out or breaker) for approximately 10 minutes, and
then switch it on again.
- If this fault occurs fairly often, consult the local utilities company to
check the power source.
- Check that the device is not locked at too high a temperature value.
Otherwise, unlock the device and reduce the temperature value
using the temperature control wheel d (see p. 6).

flashing.
The device is locked, and an attempt has been made to change its
operating
mode.
- Unlock the device, so that the indicator light stops flashing, and set
another necessary function,
- or check in what position the mode selection wheel a has been
set.
- If it is in the position corresponding to the automatic 24h Auto
heating function, turn it to the On position, or to the position
corresponding to the 24h Auto Drying and locking function.
- If it is in the On position, turn it to the position corresponding to the
24h Auto heating function, or the 24h Auto Drying and locking
function.
- If it is in the position corresponding to the 24h Auto Drying and
locking function, turn it to the On position, or to the position
corresponding to 24h Auto heating function. After you have set the
mode in which the device was initially locked, the indicator light will
stop flashing.
If the room temperature is below 3 °C, to prevent any deterioration in
conditions it is recommended to set the device to anti-freezing mode.
The surface
of the device is very
hot.
Usually in regular operating mode the surface of the device is very hot;
the maximum surface temperature will not exceed the value
corresponding to the requirements of the current standard. If nonetheless
in your opinion the surface of the device is overheating, check the
compliance of the device's heat transfer with the size of the room in
which it is installed (recommended value 50 W/m3), and also make sure
that the device is not in a location exposed to air flow, affecting its
automatic control function. The top and bottom extremities are colder
than the rest of the device.
The top and bottom
extremities are
colder than the rest
of the device
- If the upper parts are colder than the rest, it means that they are
not completely filled, which will prevent expansion of the
thermodynamic fluid. They will be heated only through conduction.
- If the lower parts are colder than the rest, it means that the fluid
