Connecting Rod Bearing Clearance Measurement
1.
Clean
all
parts.
2. Install:
*Connecting rod bearings
Into connecting rod and cap.
3. Attach:
(YU-33210)
Onto the crank pin.
4.
Install:
Connecting rod
*Connecting rod cap
NOTE:
Be sure the letter on both components align to
form
perfect
character.
5.
Lubricate:
*Bolt threads (connecting rod)
Molybdenum Disulfide Grease
6.
Tighten:
*Nuts (connecting rod cap)
NOTE:
Do
not turn connecting rod until clearance
measurement has been completed.
Tighten to full torque specification without
pausing. Apply continuous torque between
3.0
and
3.8
m-kg. Once you reach
3.0
m-kg,
DO
NOT
STOP
TIGHTENING
until final torque
is
reached.
If
tightening
is
interrupted between
3.0
and
3.8
m-kg, loosen nut to
less
than
3.0
m-kg and
start
again.
