SIDE MOUNT UPGRADE KIT

Remove the 2 screws circled in the left picture

to remove the cover for side mount upgrade kit. Take

out the cable inside this cover and connect it to the

white connector inside the side mount upgrade kit like

SD-680 as arrowed in the right picture. Gently arrange

the excessive length of this cable back in the hole and

screw-fit it back to the position originally occupied by the cover.

Please reserve the cover if there is chance to have the side mount kit removed in the

future.

OPEN THE HDD COVER

Remove the 2 screws on back of main unit as

arrowed in the picture at right to remove the HDD

cover.

Replacing HDD or installing the option CF

card reader adaptor or change the CF card or upgrade

DDR2 SODIMM memory takes place inside the area

under HDD cover.

REPLACE HDD IN MAIN UNIT

The picture at left is the close

up view of the content inside the

HDD cover.

Remove the 2 red arrowed

screws to release the HDD bracket

and slide the HDD in direction

indicated by the hollow yellow

arrow to take out the HDD and

remove the 2 remaining screws on HDD bracket to separate the HDD.
