Focusing the view

Turn on the LCD monitor.

Place a specimen on the stage and use stage clips to hold it in place.

Turn the revolving nosepiece until 4x objective lens is locked in place. Move the slide manually,

to center the desired part of the observed object in the field of view.

Raise the stage by turning the focus knobs until the cover glass of the slide touches the objective

lens. Be careful and try not to damage the slide or the lens.

Look at the monitor and, if necessary, adjust focus with a fine focus knob until you see a clear

image on the screen.

If this procedure is performed properly, you will not have to worry about damaging the optics

or the specimen, when switching to a different objective lens. However, additional focusing may still be

required.

Choosing the correct objective lens

Always begin your observations at the lowest magnification possible. This will allow you

to center the specimen in your field of view. This alignment of the specimen has to be done

carefully, or you might not get the desired view upon changing the magnification.

Battery safety instructions

· Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use.

· Always replace the whole set of batteries at one time; taking care not to mix old and new ones,

or batteries of different types.

· Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.

· Make sure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -).

· Remove batteries from equipment that is not to be used for an extended period of time.

· Remove used batteries promptly.

· Never attempt to recharge primary batteries as this may cause leakage, fire, or explosion.

· Never short-circuit batteries as this may lead to high temperatures, leakage, or explosion.

· Never heat batteries in order to revive them.

· Do not disassemble batteries.

· Remember to switch off devices after use.

· Keep batteries out of the reach of children, to avoid risk of ingestion, suffocation, or poisoning.

· Utilize used batteries as prescribed by your country laws.

Environment conditions

This model performs best under the following conditions: room temperatures from 10°C to 35°C

(50°F to 95°F), relative humidity not exceeding 80% at 25°C (77°F).

The room should also be void of any dust, acid or base vapors and other active substances
