Place the compressor for operation on a steady horizontal surface.

To ensure sucient cooling air stream to the working compressor do not place it near the

wall closer than 50 cm.

Before starting, open the drain valve under the receiver, remove the condensate and then

close the drain valve.

During the ﬁrst start as well as after a long period of standstill it is recommended to put

several drops of clean lube oil to the air ﬁlter.

Check the oil level hole. For normal operation oil level should be at the sensor midpoint.

Add oil if necessary before the compressor starting.

Use compressor oil of ISO-100 viscosity class for piston compressors.

Connect securely the compressor to the compressed air consumers with the help of

sucient pneumatic equipment and pipelines.

Set the switch located on the pressure relay in ON position (Fig. 6). During the ﬁrst start or

after a long period of standstill let the compressor operate during 10 minutes at idle. It is

necessary for providing greasing of all the necessary units of the compressor.

Check a belt tension. A normal tension – when it is possible to squeeze a belt on 10 – 15 mm

to the centre.

Pressure adjustment is performed with the help of output pressure regulator.

Compressor shutting down is performed by means of pressing the switch located on the

pressure relay.

HOW TO OPERATE

Peculiarities of HYUNDAI air compressor operation

After setting the pressure relay switch in ON position the compressor begins to operate

pumping the air through delivery branch pipe to the receiver.

When the preset upper pressure level is reached (to be set by the manufacturer) the

compressor stops bleeding the excess air in the head and delivery branch pipe through

the discharge valve installed under the pressure relay.

Due to the fact that excess pressure is not available in the compressor head during the

next start motor load is decreased.

With air consumption the receiver pressure drops and when it reaches the lowest preset

level (dierence between the upper and lower pressure level is 2 bar) the compressor

automatically switches on.

Receiver pressure can be checked by the pressure gauge (Fig. 1, Pos. 5).

Compressor operates automatically until the switch located on the pressure relay is

placed in OFF position.

It is necessary to wait for minimum 10 seconds before the next switching on of the

compressor after its shutting down.
