1. Click System > SNMP Management > Security > Communities. The SNMP Community Settings Page opens:

11.4.1 Dening SNMP Notication Properties
The SNMP Notication Properties Page contains parameters for dening SNMP notication parameters.
To dene SNMP notication global parameters:
1. Click System > SNMP Management > Notication > Properties. The SNMP Notication Properties Page opens:

The SNMP Notification Properties Page contains the
following elds:
Enable SNMP Notications Species whether the
device can send SNMP notications. The possibleeld
values are:
Enable Enables SNMP notications.
Disable Disables SNMP notications.
Enable Authentication Notications Species whether SNMP authentication failure notication is enabled on the
device. The possible eld values are:
Enable Enables the device to send authentication failure notications.
Disable Disables the device from sending authentication failure notications.
2. Dene the Enable SNMP Notication and Enable Authentication Notications elds.
3. Click . The SNMP notication properties are dened, and the device is updated.
11.4.2 Dening Notication Filters
The SNMP Notication FiIter Page permitsltering traps based on OIDs. Each OID is linked to a device feature or a portion
of a feature. The SNMP Notication FiIter Page also allows network managers to lter notications.
