en Defrosting sprays Switching off the appliance Press the On Off button Fig 0 1 When the temperature display light Fig 0 3 goes out refrigeration and light switch off Disconnecting the appliance If the appliance is not used for a prolonged period 1 Pull out the mains plug or switch off the fuse 2 Cleaning the appliance 3 Leave the appliance door open Thawing and cleaning the appliance Follow the manufacturer s instructions Warning Defrosting sprays may form explosive gases and or contain solvents or propellants which corrode plastic and or maybe a health hazard Defrosting aid Place a pan of hot water on a base in the freezer compartment Fridge Condensation droplets or frost form on the inside of the rear panel The frost thaws automatically and runs into the evaporation pan via the condensation channel Fig 0 Pull out the mains plug or remove the fuse Clean the appliance with lukewarm water and a little washing up liquid Warning Freezer compartment Store the freezer drawers except the middle one and the food in a cool location Place the ice block if enclosed on the food Pull out the mains plug or trip the fuse Empty the middle drawer and leave in the appliance to catch the water Fig When the freezer compartment has defrosted empty the water which has collected in the freezer drawer Mop up any water in the bottom of the freezer compartment with a sponge Clean the appliance Regularly clean the condensation channel and drainage hole Fig 0 with a cotton bud or similar implement to ensure that the condensation can drain The rinsing water must not run through the drain hole into the evaporation pan Clean the door seal with water only and then dry thoroughly The cleaning water must not get into the control panel or the light Do not use abrasive or acidic cleaning agents and solvents The shelves and containers must not be washed in the dishwasher as they may warp Re insert the mains plug and or reset the fuse 25
