– SSM: A multiple error reading (SSM) can be
attached to the master for a central control point.
The contact may only be connected to the master.
The reading however is valid for the entire unit. This
reading can be programmed as a single error
reading (ESM) or as a multiple error reading (SSM).
For the single error reading contact must be
established with each pump.
4.3 Operating the pump
On the top side of the electronic module there is an IR
window (Infra red window) (Fig. 2, pos. ) for com-
municating with an Tele-Monitor and an LC Display
which contains the regulating button for operating
the pump. The IR receiver and sender surface must
be located in such a way as to be able to communi-
cate with the Tele-Monitor. Once the connection to
the Tele-Monitor has been made, the green LED
lights up on the Tele-Monitor (Fig. 2, pos. ) confirm-
ing the IR communication with all pumps which are
connected to the Tele-Monitor at the same time. The
LED on the pump with which the Tele-Monitor com-
municates blinks. It stops blinking 5 minutes after the
connection to the Tele-Monitor has been interrupted.
A red Error LED (Fig. 2, pos. ) in the IR window lights
up when a fault is registered. Information on how to
operate the Tele-Monitor can be obtained in its instal-
lation and operating instructions.
LC display: (Fig. 2, pos. ) The setting parameters
of the pump are represented on the LC display by
symbols and values. The display is constantly lit up.
The table below explains the meaning of the LC dis-
play’s symbols:
Symbol Description of possible operating status
auto
Standard mode; automatic switch-over to light load mode possible. Light load mode
activated when minimal heating required.
auto Pump running in light load mode (Night-time operation) at min. speed.
(without Automatic switch-over to light load mode blocked, i.e. pump can only run in
Symb.)
standard mode.
auto Light load mode activated by PLR (pump control processor) or interface converter
independently of the system temperature.
Double pump running in peak load mode (master + slave)
Double pump running in main/reserve mode (master or slave)
All settings on module apart from “acknowledge error” blocked.
Settings blocked by Tele-Monitor.
Settings can only be altered using Tele-Monitor.
Pump operated by the serial data interface. “On/off” function not activated at module.
Only , , optimisation, “acknowledge error” can still be set at module.
For pumps with P

< 500 W (see rating plate) errors can only be acknowledged at the
module. PLR mode can be interrupted via the Tele-Monitor (for tests, for reading out data).
Differential pressure set value set to H = 9.0 m.
Pump set to a constant speed (1.800 RPM in this case) – regulator mode.
Control system ∆p-c, regulated to constant differential pressure set value (Fig. 3).
Control system ∆p-v, regulated to variable differential pressure set value (Fig. 4).
The regulator mode control system deactivates the module regulations.
The speed of the pump is kept at a constant value between 800 and 2800 RPM.
The speed is set internally using the tuning button.
