9 Corel Applications

9.1 CorelDRAW 7.0 for Windows

The Color Manager does not work in the original version 7.0. You may download a

version which works well from the Corel website:

The zip-Þ le includes the Colormgr.exe and the Drawintl.dll that need to be copied

into directory systemroot \Corel\Draw70\programs

9.1.1 Selecting ProÞ les

Open CorelDRAW. Create a new document or open a document in which you want

to insert images.

• Choose Extras > Color Manager.

• Select the device proÞ le for each device you use:

• For Monitor select the device proÞ le that matches your monitor type.

• For Scanner select the device proÞ le for the device you use to create scans.

This proÞ le is only applied if you scan directly into CorelDRAW.

• For Composite Printer select the device proÞ le that matches your paper type.

• For Separations Printer select the device proÞ le for the output device you use

to create color separations (e.g. Euroscale for Offset).

• Click OK.

9.1.2 Printing

• Choose File > Print.

• Check the box Use color proÞ le to enable the settings that have been made

in the Color Manager.

• Click OK.

9.2 CorelDRAW 8 and PHOTO-PAINT 8 for Windows
