Printing Guideline for Ricoh Color Products 2.01
2.1.2 Scanners
The naming convention for the scanner ICC proÞ les is as follows:
CS <Product Name>.< Photo Paper Type>.v01.<Extension>
CS: The name of every printer proÞ le starts with CS, which stands for
Color Savvy, the developer of the proÞ ling software package.
Product Name: Name of the color scanner or color contoller
Photo Paper Original photos for scanning are printed on different reß ective paper
Type: types, mainly Agfa, Fuji and Kodak. For each of them there
exists an ICC proÞ le:
Reß ective Agfa
Reß ective Fuji
Reß ective Kodak
v01: version number
Extension: icm (Windows) or ICC (Macintosh)
When applying a scanner proÞ le to your scanned image, make sure to select a proÞ le
matching with the paper of the scanned original. Even if your original for scanning
isn‘t on photographic paper, choose one of these scanner proÞ les, the scan will be
better than without proÞ les.
2.2. ReadMe File
Each ICC proÞ le on www.ricoh-support.com comes with a ReadMe Þ le, which
contains the following important information.
2.2.1 Naming Convention
The ReadMe Þ le explaines the naming of the proÞ le, as described above.
2.2.2. Required Driver Settings
To achieve best results with a scanner or printer proÞ le, it is necessary to use it with
the same relevant driver settings that were used to create the proÞ le. These driver
settings are listed in the ReadMe Þ le.
