Dear Customer,
Thank you for choosing the Grillo MD22 N. We hope that this new ride-on mower will meet your
requirements perfectly. To obtain the best possible performance please carefully read and follow the
instructions given in this manual. This will enable you to obtain first class results from your mower and
will prevent any avoidable expense. Please look after this manual which should always be kept with
the machine.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND INTENDED USE
The Grillo MD22 N is a ride-on mower with a dual function cutter deck which is designed to mow
grass on even ground or slopes, (depending on the severity of the slope)
WARNING! Before starting the engine, read this manual carefully. The
following warnings are very important in ensuring safety!
WARNINGS
Always exercise caution to prevent accidents. Before using the mower carefully read the following
instructions. The action of this lawnmower could cause injury or damage if the equipment is not used
in a careful and controlled way. Read, understand and follow all instructions in this manual to prevent
such accidents:
1) Read the instructions carefully before starting the engine.
2) Pay particular attention to the warning and safety labels positioned around the mower.
3) Make sure other people are thoroughly familiar with these instructions before allowing them to
use the mower.
4) Whilst mowing always wear substantial footwear and long trousers, gloves, boots and protective
glasses.
5) Wear a suitable protective device such as earplugs. Loud noise can cause impairment or loss of
hearing.
6) Before commencement of mowing, make sure there are neither people, especially children, nor
pets in the mowing area.
7) Use caution when reversing, make sure there are no people or obstacles in the way.
8) Clear the mowing area of any objects that might be thrown. Before mowing identify potential
obstacles and remove them.
9) After striking a foreign object, inspect the mower for damage and make repairs before restarting
and operating the equipment.
10) Before dismounting the mower, switch off the engine, turn off the PTO, remove the ignition key
and lower the cutting deck to its lowest position.
11) Drive slowly along uneven paths.
12) Machine speed should be kept low on slopes.
13) Machine speed should be kept low during tight turns.
14) The operator or user is responsible for accidents or hazards occurring to other people or their
property.
15) Replace damaged, badly worn or missing blades.
16) Use only accessories and attachments approved by the manufacturer of this machine.
17) Mow only in daylight or in good artificial light.
18) Store fuel in containers specifically designed for this purpose.
19) Watch out for traffic when mowing near roadways.
20) Allow the engine to cool before storing in any enclosure.
21) Do not operate the machine when tired or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
22) If fuel is spilt, do not attempt to start the engine but move the machine away from the area of
spillage and avoid creating any source of ignition until any fuel vapours have dissipated.
