Evaporator
Single circuit models (Plate Heat Exchanger) Theunitisequippedwithadirectexpansionplatetoplate
type evaporator. This heat exchanger is made of stainless steel brazedplates and is covered with a 20mm
closedcellinsulationmaterial.Theexchangerisequippedwithanelectricheaterforprotectionagainstfreezing
downto–28°Candevaporatorwaterconnectionsareprovidedwithvictaulickit(asstandard).Theevaporator
has1circuit(onecompressor)andismanufacturedinaccordanceto2014/68/EU.Flowswitchonevaporator
availableasoption(shippedloose).Waterfilterisastandardoptionforsinglecircuitunit.
Notetheinstallationofthefilterismandatory.
Dual circuit models (Shell&Tube) Theunitisequippedwithadirectexpansionshell&tubeevaporatorwith
refrigerantevaporatinginsidethetubesandwaterflowingoutside.Thetubesareenhancedformaximumheat
transferandrolledintosteeltubesheetandsealed.
Theevaporatorsaresingle-passonboththerefrigerantandwatersidesforpurecounter-flowheatexchange
and low refrigerant pressure drops. Both characteristics contribute to the heat exchanger effectiveness and
totalunit’soutstandingefficiency.Thewatersideisdesignedfor10barofmaximumoperatingpressureandis
providedwithventsanddrain.
Theexternalshelliscoveredwitha10mmclosedcellinsulationmaterialandtheevaporatorwaterconnections
areprovidedwithvictaulickit(as standard).Eachevaporatorhas2circuits,oneforeachcompressorandis
manufactured in accordance to 2014/68/EU. Flow switch on evaporator available as option (shipped loose).
Waterfilterisnotavailableasoptionfromthefactory.
Notetheinstallationofthefilterismandatory.
Condenser Thecondenserismadeentirelyofaluminumwithflattubescontainingsmallchannels.Full-depth
louvered aluminum fins are inserted between the tubes maximizing the heat exchange. The Microchannel
technology ensures the highest performance with the minimum surface for the exchanger. The quantity of
refrigerantisalsoreducedcomparedtoCu/Alcondenser.
Specialtreatmentensureresistancetothecorrosionbyatmosphericagentsextendingthelifetime.
Note: for application in industrial, costal high pollutted urban environment or combinations of the above a
proper evaluation is needed to understand if, according to the specific environment, additional protections
measuresareneeded.
Condenser fans
SILVER
:
The ON/OFF condenser fans are propeller type with high efficiency design blades to maximize
performances.Thematerialofthebladesisglassreinforced resinandeachfanisprotectedbyaguard.Fan
motors are protected by circuit breakers installed inside the electrical panel as a standard. The motors are
IP54andaresuitableforusewithinverters(availableasoption).ThemotorsareIP54.
GOLD
:
The Inverter Driven (ACinverter type) condenser fans are propeller type with high efficiency design
blades to maximize performances. The material of the blades is glass reinforced resin and each fan is
protected by aguard. Fanmotors are protected by circuit breakers installed inside theelectricalpanel as a
standard.ThemotorsareIP54.
PLATINUM
:
Thecondenserfansare“brushless”(EC)typeandaremadewithsynchronousmotorsexcitedby
permanent magnets and with phase currents controlled by a PWM inverter integrated in the fan motor
housing,thatallowsoperationatdifferentspeeds.Withthistechnologythefansreachhighefficiencieswithan
extremelylownoiselevelacrossaverywidespeedrange.ThemotorsareIP54.
Electronic expansion valve The unit is equipped with the most advanced electronic expansion valves to
achieveprecisecontrolofrefrigerantmassflow.Astoday’ssystemrequiresimprovedenergyefficiency,tighter
temperaturecontrol,widerrangeofoperatingconditionsandincorporatefeatureslikeremotemonitoringand
diagnostics,theapplicationofelectronicexpansionvalvesbecomesmandatory.
Electronicexpansionvalvespossessuniquefeatures:shortopeningandclosingtime,highresolution,positive
shut-off function to eliminate use of additional solenoid valve, continuous modulation of mass flow without
stressintherefrigerantcircuitandcorrosionresistancestainlesssteelbody.
Electronicexpansion valves are typically working with lower ΔPbetween highand lowpressureside, than a
thermostatic expansion valve.The electronicexpansion valveallows thesystemtowork withlow condenser
pressure (winter time) without any refrigerant flow problems and with a perfect chilled water leaving
temperaturecontrol.
