LASER VIEWING GLASSES
The laser viewing glasses lter out the ambient light. This
makestheredlightofthelaserappearbrighterfortheeyes.
● Do not use the laser viewing glasses as safety goggles.
Thelaserviewingglassesareusedforimprovedvisualisa-
tionofthelaserbeam,buttheydonotprotectagainstlaser
radiation.
● Donotusethelaserviewingglassesassunglassesorin
trac.ThelaserviewingglassesdonotaordcompleteUV
protectionandreducecolourperception.
MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE

Keepthemeasuringtoolcleanatalltimes.
Donotimmersethemeasuringtoolinwaterorotheruids.
Wipeodebrisusingamoistandsoftcloth.Donotuseany
cleaning agents or solvents.

particular,andpayattentiontoanyuofbres.

manufacturingandtestingprocedures,repairshouldbecar-
ried out by an authorised after-sales service centre for BORT
GLOBALLIMITEDpower tools.Do not open the measuring
tool yourself.
DISPOSAL
Discarded electric appliances are recyclable and
should not be discarded in the domestic waste!

ASSEMBLY
Inserting/ReplacingtheBattery
Alkali-manganese batteries are recommended for the measur-
ing tool.
Toopenthebatterylid,pressthelatchinthedirectionofthe
arrowandremovethebatterylid.Insertthebatteries.Payat-
tentiontothecorrectpolarityofthebatteriesaccordingtothe
representationinthebatterycompartment.
Alwaysreplaceallbatteriesatthesametime.Onlyusebatter-
iesfromonebrandandwiththeidenticalcapacity.
● Removethebatteriesfromthemeasuringtoolwhennotus-
ingitforextendedperiods.Whenstoringforextendedperi-
ods, the batteries can corrode and discharge themselves.
OPERATION
InitialOperation
● Protectthemeasuringtoolagainstmoistureanddirectsun
light.
● Donotsubjectthemeasuringtooltoextremetemperatures
orvariationsintemperature.Asanexample,donotleave
it in vehicles for long time. In case of large variations in
temperature,allowthemeasuringtooltoadjusttotheam-
bienttemperaturebeforeputtingitintooperation.Incase
ofextremetemperaturesorvariationsintemperature,the
accuracyofthemeasuringtoolcanbeimpaired.
● Avoidheavyimpacttoorfallingdownofthemeasuringtool.
Damagetothemeasuringtoolcanimpairitsaccuracy.Af-
terheavyimpact orshock, comparethelaser linewith a
known horizontal or vertical reference line.
● Switch the measuring tool o during transport. When
switchingo,thelevellingunit,whichcanbedamagedin
case of intense movement, is locked.
● Donotpointthelaserbeamatpersonsoranimalsanddo
not look into the laser beam yourself, not even from a large
distance.
● Donotleavethe switchedonmeasuringtool unattended
andswitchthemeasuringtooloafteruse.Otherpersons
could be blinded by the laser beam.
When not using the measuring tool, switch it o in order to
extendthebatterylife.
After switching on, the levelling function automatically com-
pensatesirregularitieswithintheself-levellingrangeof±4°.

WORKING ADVICE
● Always use the centre of the laser line for marking.The
width of the laser line changes with the distance.
