Paints and lacquers may contain solvents that give
off dangerous fumes and explosive mixtures when
they are applied. Good ventilation or extraction
must therefore be ensured.
Dust from material such as paint containing lead,
some wood species, minerals and metal may be
harmful. Contact with or inhalation of the dust may
cause allergic reactions and/or respiratory
diseases to the operator or bystanders.
Certain kinds of dust are classified as carcinogenic
such as oak and beech dust especially in conjunc-
tion with additives for wood conditioning (chro-
mate, wood preservative). Material containing
asbestos must only be treated by specialists.
- Where the use of a dust extraction device is
possible it shall be used.
- The work place must be well ventilated.
- The use of a dust mask of filter class P2 is
recommended.

want to work with.

Turn-off carbon brushes:
If the brushes are worn out, the machine switches
off automatically.
Before plugging in check to see that the
rated mains voltage and mains frequency,
as stated on the rating label, match with your
power supply.
8.1 Switching On and Off
To start the machine, press the trigger (3).
Thanks to the electronic soft start the machine
accelerates continuously up to maximum speed.
For continuous operation the trigger can be locked
with the lock button (2). To stop the machine,
press the trigger again.
8.2 Tool Change
To attach the stirrer:
Screw the stirrer by hand into the spindle.
Removing the tool:
Hold the spindle still with the spanner and unscrew
the stirrer with a second spanner.
Use only genuine Metabo accessories.
If you need any accessories, check with your
dealer.
For the dealer to select the correct accessory, he
needs to know the exact model designation of your
power tool.

9.1 Stirrer quick-change system
Make sure the spindle is clean. Grease the
spindle slightly, if required.
