Wiring
WARNING
1) Do not use tapped wires, strandedwires, extension cords, or starburst connections,astheymay causeoverheating, electrical
shock, or fire.
2) Do not use locally purchasedelectrical parts insidethe product. (Do notbranchthe powerfor thedrain pump, etc., fromthe
terminal block.) Doingsomay cause electric shock or fire.
3) Be sure to installanearth leakage breaker.(Onethatcan handlehigher harmonics.)
(This unit uses an inverter,which means that it must be used an earth leakage breaker capable handlingharmonics in order to
preventmalfunctioning of theearth leakage breaker itself.)
4) Use an all-pole disconnection typebreaker with at least3mm between the contact pointgaps.
5) Do not connect thepowerwiretothe indoor unit. Doingsomay causeelectric shockorfire.
• Do notturn ON the safety breaker until allwork is completed.
1) Stripthe insulation fromthe wire (20mm).
2) Connect the connection wires between the
indoor and outdoor units so that the termi-
nalnumbers match. Tighten the terminal
screws securely.Werecommendaflathead
screwdriverbeusedtotightenthe screws.
Thescrews arepacked with the terminal
board.
Observe the notesmentioned below when wiringtothe power supply ter-
minalboard.
Precautions to be taken for power supply wiring.
Usearound crimp-styleterminal for connectiontothe power supply ter-
minal board. In case it cannot be used duetounavoidable reasons, be
sure to observe the followinginstruction.
Place the roundcrimp-styleterminals on the wires up to the coveredpart
andsecure in place.
