5.3 Adjusting lter cleaning

The lter chamber is equipped with an automatic lter-cartridge pulse-cleaning system.

The standard pressure for pulse cleaning is 4–5 bar. The cleaning pressure is set using the

pressure regulator installed on the pressure vessel of the cleaning system and is monitored

using the manometer.

If the pulsation does not provide a sufcient degree of cleaning for the lter cartridge, the

pulse pressure has to be increased in intervals of 0.5 bar up to the maximum pressure of 6.0

bar. Increasing the pulse pressure above 6.0 bar may cause damage to the lter body and the

lter itself.

If the dust deposit on the lter cartridge increases after the pressure has increased, the

duration of each pulse should be increased (set on each pneumatic valve in milliseconds

(ms)) and the intervals between pulses should be reduced (in minutes (min)).

The performance of solenoid-controlled pneumatic valves can be checked by pressing the

Test button.
