TeraStation Setup Manual 54
List of LCD Display
TeraStation has the LCD panel on the front of the unit. The following list shows the displayed items and their meanings.
Normal Display
You can switch the display by pressing the Display switch button on the front of the TeraStation. Also, you can congure
the displayed items in [System] - [Maintenance] - [Front Panel Settings] on the Web Admin.
Examples of LCD Meaning
LINK SPEED
NOTE:
If connecting a LAN cable
to the LAN Port 2, "LINK
SPEED2" is displayed.
LINK SPEED
NO LINK
Not connected to the network.
LINK SPEED
10Mbps HALF
Connected as 10 Mbps half-duplex.
LINK SPEED
10Mbps FULL
Connected as 10 Mbps full-duplex.
LINK SPEED
100MbpsHALF
Connected as 100 Mbps half-duplex.
LINK SPEED
100MbpsFULL
Connected as 100 Mbps full-duplex.
LINK SPEED
1000Mbps
Connected as 1000 Mbps full-duplex.
HOST Name
IP Address
NOTE:
The example shows the
display of TS-XL Series.

Displays the host name and the IP address. The letter F (the static IP
address) or D (expresses that the IP address is automatically obtained
by the DHCP server) is displayed at the end of IP address.
NOTE: If connecting a LAN cable to the LAN Port 2, the Host Name is
displayed as "NETWORK2".

Displays the date and time that is set to TeraStation.

NOTE:

HD 1-2-3-4
RAID5
Structured RAID5 using the hard drives 1 to 4.
HD 1-2-3: RAID 5
4 :SINGLE
Structure RAID 5 using hard drives 1 to 3, and 4 as a Normal mode.
HD 1-2-3: RAID 5
4 : STANDBY
Structure RAID 5 using hard drives 1 to 3, and 4 as a hot spare.
HD 1-2-3-4
RAID 0
Structure RAID 0 using the hard drives 1 to 4.
HD 1-2-3-4
RAID 10
Structure RAID 10 using the hard drives 1 to 4.
HD 1, 2, 3, 4
SINGLE
Uses 4 hard drive (1 - 4) as stand-alone drives.
HD 1 - 2 : RAID 1
3 - 4 : RAID 1
Structure RAID1 using the hard drive 1, 2 and 3, 4.
HD 1 - 2 : RAID 1
3, 4 : SINGLE
Structures RAID1 with hard drive 1 and 2, and uses hard disk 3 and 4
as stand-alone drives.
HD 1, 2 : SINGLE
3 - 4 : RAID 1
Structure RAID1 with hard disk 3 and 4 and uses hard drive 1 and 2 as
stand alone drives.
Storage Capacity
NOTE:
The example shows the
display of TS-XL Series.

USED 1_2 3 4
Indicates the usage of TeraStation's internal hard drives 1 - 4 in bar
graph. If the hard drive is full, "^" is displayed.
NOTE: If you are using TS-RXL Series, it is displayed as a following
example (the displayed value is approximate, and it is dis-
played every 6 to 7 %.
"D1: 13% D2: 0% D3:Full D4: 25%”
NOTE: If you are using TS-RXL Series, one line's worth of height of LCD display will be scrolled horizontally and 2
lines worth of information above will be displayed.
