and cylinder fins are clean.
Lubricate the blades with oil. This will pre-
vent the blades from getting rusty. Put the
blade cover back in place.
–Store the machine in a suitable place;
avoid places that are damp, extremely dry
or near sources of heat.
Store the machine out of childrenís
reach!!
RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT!!!
Do not throw fuel or lubricants on the
ground or down drains!!
Contact a service station for correct recy-
cling of lubricants and fuels.
Preparing the machine
C1. Securing the front grip/guard (if neces-
sary)
The machine is supplied with a front grip that
is not ready for use. The front grip must be
secured correctly with the screws provided.
Loosen the screw that provisionally locks
the grip.
–Turn the grip and position it correctly so
that the holes with nuts on the grip are in
line with the holes on the aluminium sup-
port underneath.
Insert the screw provided in the supportís
hole until it reaches the nut on the grip.
Fasten both screws until they are tight.
Warning If you are unsure that operations
have been performed correctly, contact your
dealer.
ALWAYS CHECK THAT THE GRIP IS SECURE!!!
C2. Filling the fuel / oil tank
Fuel.
This machine has a two-stroke engine.
Therefore, fuel composed of petrol and lubri-
cating oil for 2-stroke engines must be used.
WARNING
Only use high quality fuels and lubricants
to maintain engine performance and
maximize the life of mechanical parts.
Use green petrol (unleaded)
Engine oil.
Only use top quality synthetic oil for 2-stroke
engines.
Your dealer stocks high quality oils speci-
fically designed to guarantee a high level
of protection to mechanical parts and
maximize engine efficiency.
Contact your dealer.
Fuel composition
USE A MIXTURE OF PETROL AND HIGH-
QUALITY OIL SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR
TWO-STROKE ENGINES (2%)
PETROL - OIL PERCENTAGE 50:1 = 2% oil
Warning: if you do not have synthetic oil
suitable for two-stroke engines and if you
are using mineral oil specific for lubrica-
ting two-stroke engines, you need to pre-
pare a fuel mixture with 4% oil.
PETROL-OIL PERCENTAGE 25:1 = 4% oil
(only with mineral oil)
WARNING
Flammable liquid!
Store fuel in appropriate containers in
safe places far from sources of heat or
naked flames. Keep the container out of
childrenís reach.
Storing the fuel
Fuel is subject to ageing. This means that it
gradually loses its specifications. Do not pre-
pare large amounts of fuel, but supplies to
last about one month. Always use excellent
quality fuel with high performance levels.
Before filling, shake the can well to help to
mix the oil and petrol.
WARNING
take care over pressure that forms inside the
container.
Filling
–Place the machine so that the tank caps are on
top and easily accessible.
