Instructions for use and maintenance 7
EN
English
Position I (Summer Mode) – the thermostat is set to economical mode
of operation for low water temperature and low power consumption.
This mode is suitable for summer conditions, when no high water
temperature is not needed.
Position II (Winter Mode) - the thermostat is set to optimum
operation mode, with higher water temperature values. This mode
is suitable for autumn and winter conditions, when higher water
temperature is needed.
Position III (Maximum Mode) - the thermostat is set at maximum
operation mode and power consumption, with highest water
temperature level (about 70°C). This is the most suitable mode when
you need maximum volume of water with comfortable temperature.
IMPORTANT: Models not supplied with a thermostat control
knob (for thermostat control) are preset by the manufacturer to
automatic regulation of water temperature.
VI. RUST PROTECTION MAGNESIUM ANODE
The magnesium anode protects the water tank's inner surface from
corrosion. The anode element is an element undergoing wear and tear
and is subject to periodic replacement.
In view of the long-term and accident free use of your water heater, the
manufacturer recommends periodic inspections of the magnesium
anode's condition by a qualied technician and replacement whenever
required, and this could be performed during the appliance's technical
preventive maintenance.
For replacements, please contact the authorized service stations!
VII. IMPORTANT RULES
The water heater must only be mounted in premises with normal
re resistance.
Do not switch on the water heater unless you established it was
lled with water.
Qualied W&S specialists must perform the connecting of the
water heater to the water supply network. Qualied electricians must
perform the connecting of the water heater to the electric network
(for models without power cord with plug).
Upon connecting the water heater to the electric mains care must
be taken to connect the safety lead (for models without power cord
with plug).
If the water-heater will not be used for a longer period of time
(more than 3 days) and the temperature in the premise could drop
below 0°C, the water in the water-heater must be drained (observe
the procedure outlined in subsection 2 “Water heater's piping
connection” of s. IV), to avoid any possible damage of the appliance.
During use (water heating mode), the dripping of water from the
safety return-valve's drainage opening is normal. The same must be
left open to the atmosphere.
In order to secure the water heater's safe operation, the safety
return-valve must undergo regular cleaning and inspections for
normal functioning /the valve must not be obstructed/, and for the
regions with highly calcareous water it must be cleaned from the
accumulated lime scale. This service is not provided under warranty
maintenance.
All alterations and modications to the water heater's
construction and electrical circuitry are forbidden. If such alterations
or modications are established during inspection, the appliance's
warranty shall be null and void. Alterations and modications shall
mean each instances of removal of elements incorporated by the
manufacturer, building in additional components into the water
heater, replacement of elements by similar elements unapproved by
the manufacturer.
If the supply cord (of models that have one) is damaged, it must
be replaced by a representative of the service or by an appropriately
qualied person, in order to avoid any risks.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
VIII. PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
Under normal use of the heater, under the inuence of high
temperature, lime scale /the so-called lime scale layer/ is deposited
upon the heating element's surface. This worsens the heat exchange
between the heating element and water. The heating element's
surface temperature increases, as well as the temperature in the
surrounding area. A specic noise occurs (noise of boiling water).
The thermoregulator begins to switch on and o more frequently. A
deceptive” activation of the thermal protection is possible.
To restore the normal operation, on basis of Art.20 Paragraph 3 of
the Consumer Protection Law and on grounds of trading regulations
related to ensured faultless functioning of the appliance during the
warranty term, it is obligatory to that EVERY 2 YEARS preventive
maintenance of your water heater is carried out by an authorized
service center or service base and paid by the client. This protective
maintenance must include cleaning and inspection of the anode
protector (for water heaters with glass-ceramic coating), which shall be
replaced with a new one if need arises. Each preventive maintenance
of the said type must be entered in the appliance's warranty card
and must indicate the date of execution, the company performing
the preventive maintenance, the name of the person performing the
service and his signature.
Failure to observe the requirement outlined above may terminate your
water heater's free warranty maintenance.
The Manufacturer shall not be liable for any consequences
resulting from failure to observe these instructions.
Environmental protection instructions.
Old electric appliances contain prescious materials and
must not be disposed with the domestic waste! Please
make your active contribution to the protection of
the environment and dispose of the appliance in the
stations organized for the purpose (if available).
