2. Water heater connection to the water supply system
Fig.4a – installation scheme above sink
Fig.4b – installation scheme under sink
Where: 1 – input pipe, 2 – safety valve (0.8 MPa), 3 – reduction valve
(if the water supply pressure exceeds 0,7 MPa), 4 – stop valve, 5 – bell-
mouth discharge to the sewer, 6 – hose; 7 - Drain water tap.
Upon connecting the water heater to the water supply system, take
care of the indicative color markings /rings/ of the pipes:
BLUE - for cold /in-owing/ water
RED - for hot /out-owig/ water.
The mounting of the safety return-valve supplied with the water heater
is obligatory. The safety return-valve must be installed on the cold
water supply pipe, according to the arrow stamped on its body that
indicates the supplied water direction. Additional stopcocks must not
be mounted between the safety return-valve and the water heater.
Any other /old/ safety return-valves may lead to a failure of
your appliance, therefore they must be removed.
Fixing the safety return-valve to threads longer than 10
mm is not allowed, as it could damaged the valve and
could make the use of your appliance dangerous.
The boiler is lled with water by opening the tap on the cold water
supply system and the tap on the hot water mixing faucet. After the
lling process is complete, a constant stream of water should ow from
the water-mixing faucet. Now you can shut the hot water tap on the
mixing faucet.
When you must empty the water heater, you should rst cut it o the
power supply.
Draining procedure for boilers designed to be installed ABOVE SINKS:
1. First shut the cold water supply valve
2. Open the hot water valve on the mixing-faucet
3. The water tap 7 (g 4a) must be opened to drain the water from
water tank. If there is no such tap build in the pipe line, than the
water can be drain as follow:
Models equipped with safety valve with lever - You can drain the
water from the water heater by lifting the safety return-valves lever.
Water will drain from the safety return-valve’s drainage opening
Models equipped with safety valve without lever - water can be
drain directly from inlet pipe of water tank after when you disconnect
it from water main
IMPORTANT: When draining the boiler, take measures to
prevent damages caused by the owing water.
Draining procedure for boilers designed to be installed UNDER SINKS:
1. Switch the boiler o the power supply network.
2. Dismantle the connecting water ttings from the boiler.
3. Disassemble the boiler from its installation place, turn it so
the pipes point to the oor and pour the water in a vessel you
have prepared for the purpose. Wait until all the water drains
out of the boiler.
Important: If the water supply pressure exceeds the pressure
indicated on the appliance (outlined here above in s. II and on
the appliance's rating plate), it will be necessary to install a
pressure-reducing valve; otherwise the water heater will not function
correctly.
The Manufacturer does not assume any liability for problems arising
out of the appliance's improper use.
3. Water heater's electrical connection (g.3)
Before you switch the power supply, make sure the
appliance is full of water.
3.1. Models t with power supply cord combined with a plug shall be
plugged in a socket. The boiler can be disconnected from the power
supply by unplugging.
3.2. Models without power supply cord.
The connection of the water heater to the electrical network is
carried out via a power cable with three leads 3x1.5 sq mm through
a separate circuit, protected by a 16-amp fuse. Switch device having
contact separation in all poles that provide full disconnection under
overvoltage category III conditions must be incorporated in the xed
wiring in accordance with wiring rules.
In order to x the power cable to the water heater, it is necessary to
remove the plastic cover (g.5). The power leads connections must be
in accordance with the terminal markings of the thermal circuit breaker:
the phase cable must be connected to the A1 (11) terminal
the neutral, to the B1 (21) terminal
and the protection terminal, obligatory to the marked screwed
joint .
The power supply cord can be xed to the plastic control panel with a
cable stop. After the installation, the plastic cover must be replaced in
its original position!
Explanations to Fig.3:
T1 – thermal regulator, T2 – thermal circuit breaker, S – electrical switch
(for models that have one), IL1 and IL2 – signal lamp, R – heater.
V. OPERATION
When you have performed the instructions described in Item IV above,
you can start using the appliance.
The appliance has two indicating lamps (g.6). Lamp (1) is on when the
appliance is connected to the power supply and indicates that voltage
is supplied to it. Lamp (2) is on when the boiler is switched on in water
heating mode. Lamp (2) switches o when the water reaches the preset
temperature and indicates that the appliance is not in operation.
Electrical switch (3) positions (for models with switch):
Position 0: switched o - the heater is o and the boiler does not
heat the water
Position I: the heater is on and the water heating is automatically
regulated by the thermostat. Positions of the thermostat control
knob(4) (for models that have one):
Anti-Frost Position – the thermostat is set to minimum level
of water heating. In this mode, the boiler switches on when the
temperature of the water contained in the water reservoir falls under
5°C. It is suitable in cases of potential low temperature of the water
contained in the water network.
