7-6 Security Settings

This menu allows the user to congure the following security settings for the

system.

Administrator Password

Use this feature to set the administrator password which is required before entering

the BIOS setup utility. The length of the password should be from 3 characters

to 20 characters long.

User Password

Use this feature to set the user password which is required to enter the BIOS

setup utility. The length of the password should be from 3 characters to 20 char-

acters long.

Password Check

Select Setup for the system to prompt for a password at Setup. Select Always for

the system to prompt for a password at bootup and upon entering the BIOS Setup

utility. The options are Setup and Always.

7-7 Boot Settings

Use this feature to congure Boot Settings:

Boot Mode Select

Use this item to select the type of device to be used for system boot. The options

are Legacy, UEFI, and Dual. The default setting is Dual.

Fixed Boot Order Priorities

This option prioritizes the order of bootable devices that the system to boot from.

Press <Enter> on each entry from top to bottom to select devices.
