Connecting the boundary cable to the charging station
The boundary cable shall now be connected to the charging station.
REMEMBER: There must be a minimum of 2 m of cable in a straight line opposite the
charging station’s docking panel.
It is important to lay the cable from the front, in below the docking panel and draw it out at
the rear of the charging station. Adjust the length of the cable, cut off the excess cable.
Strip off about 1.5 cm of the insulation (strip off the plastic from the cable) from the ends.
Use a wire stripper or a knife. Avoid cutting your fingers!
Twist the metal conductors from the cable, so that the ends become straight and taut.
The boundary cable is now ready to be connected.
See the illustration, which shows how the cables should be connected to the charging
station.
The cable that goes into the charging station from the rear (A), must be connected to the
“+” connector.
The cable that comes in from the front (B) must be connected to the “S1” or “S2”
connector.
Normally, it does not matter whether you use “S1” or “S2”. However, if your neighbour has
a TEXAS Robot Lawnmower, you must not choose the opposite input to the one your
neighbour chose, i.e. if your neighbour chose “S1” you must choose “S2” (read the section
“Mowing limits for TEXAS Robot Lawnmower”).
