INSTALLATION OF ISLAND HOOD WITH LATTICE-
WORK
WARNING: Failure to install the screws or fixing device in accordance with these instruc-
tions may result in electrical hazards.
Figure A
1) Identify the height H1 desired for the hood to be positioned (also see section C).
Figure B
1) Scroll trellises (C) and (C1) until reaching the desired height (H2) (see figure A).
2) Block them using 8 self-threading screws (V2).
3) Fasten the trellis (C) to the ceiling using the 4 ø 8 fischers and relative screws (V1).
Use the support extension (A) only in the case that the upper trellis is used, or if there is
a false ceiling (see fig. G).
Figure C
1) Introduce extension (D) onto the chimney (E) and block them together using paper tape.
2) Fasten the chimney-extension together (D+E) to the trellis (C) using 4 metric screws M4
(V3) insert them in the pre-existing holes without locking them permanently
For the exhaust version: detect the optimal height of the rigid or flexible fume discharge
pipe (F) and connect it to the motor fitting.
Figure D
1) Establish the correct position of the lateral supports on the base on figure D.
2) Fasten the support cylinders (CS) to the ceiling using the 2 ø 8 fischers and relative
screws (V6).
Figure E
1) Remove the panel (AP1) and metal filters (FM) (see figure H1-1 and H1-2).
2) Lift the hood connecting it to the 4 M5 metric screws (V4) pre-tightened to the trellis (C)
It is recommended that the hood be supported with a lifter so that the hood is perfectly
horizontal and stable.
3) Centre the Ø11 holes on the slot of the interchamber and move it sideways.
Fasten the 4 M5 screws (V4).
4) Tighten the two side assembly supports (SLI + SLS) to the hood.
5) Slide the upper tube (SLS) so that it reaches the height desired H2.
6) Fasten the tube (SLS) to the cylinder (CS) using the grub screw (G1).
7) After having perfectly aligned the hood using the spirit level, lock the side supports (SLI)
and (SLS) between them using the grub screw (G2).
Figure F
1) Remove the paper tape.
2) Remove the 4 M4 metric screws (V3) previously tightened to the trellis,
3) Make the chimney-extension assembly slide downwards (D+E).
4) Connect the tube to the discharge hole of the ceiling (in case of suction version).
5) Set up the electric connection only once the electric power supply has been cut off.
6) Fasten the extension (E) to the trellis (C) using the 4 M4 metric screws (V3).
7) Lock the chimney using 2 self-threaded screws (V5)
