Getting Started

Setting Up an Infrastructure Network

Please remember that D-Link Air wireless devices are pre-configured to connect

together, right out of the box, with the default settings.

You will need a broadband Internet access (Cable/DSL)

subscription.

Consult with your Cable/DS

L provider for proper installation of the

modem.

Connect the modem to the DI

514 Wireless Broadband Router.

See

the Quick Installation Guide included with the router.

If you are including a desktop computer (

Computer 1

) in your

network, you can install the D-Link DFE-530TX+

Ethernet NIC

adapter into the desktop computer. See the Quick Installation Guide

included with the DFE-530TX+.

Install the drivers for the wireless network adapter (such as the

D-Link Air DWL-650) into the laptop computer. See the

Quick

Installation Guide included with the DWL-650.

If you are including a desktop computer wirelessly

(Computer 2)

install the D-Link Air DWL-520 wireless adapter into the desktop

computer. See the Quick Installation Guide included with the DWL-

520.
