- do not use mineral oil on rubber parts as this will damage them.

- always check the oil level and frequently clean the air filter.

LUBRICATION

Operations described below must be carried out with the machine in horizontal position. Important: Oil

must be replaced when the tiller is warm to allow the exhaust oil to drain completely. Do not remove the

oil taps whilst the machine is running to avoid oil leakages.

ENGINE OIL

Carefully follow the instructions described in the engine manual. Check the oil level every 4 hours and

replace it every 100 hours or once a year.

AIR FILTER

Check the air filter is clean every 8 hours and even more often if working in very dusty conditions. For oil-

bath air filters use the same engine oil. For engines equipped with dry air filter, frequently clean the filter

element.

GEARBOX OIL

Check the level every 50 working hours approximately and if necessary, add 85W90 gearbox oil.

Change the oil once a year (quantity 1.350 kg). To drain the exhaust oil out of the gearbox casing,

unscrew the screws on the cover around the tiller shaft.

USEFUL HINTS FOR PROPER USE

- Never leave the machine out in the rain.

- Do not strain the gear selector if the gears do not engage at once but work the clutch slightly

while engaging it.

- Never strain the engine too much. In case of excessive smoke coming from the exhaust pipe the

engine is under strain, reduce speed.

- Even the hardest soils can be tilled if the machine has been run-in properly.

- Never work at full speed.

- Remove any leaves and grass which accumulate on the mesh around the drive pulley.

- Using the machine without its safety devices is absolutely forbidden.

END OF SEASON MAINTENANCE

Wash the machine carefully, replace the oil both in the engine and gearbox. Sharpen the blades and

replace the when worn.
