Chapter 2 Installation
is is a CEB form factor (12'' x 10.5'', 30.5 cm x 26.7 cm) motherboard. Before you install
the motherboard, study the conguration of your chassis to ensure that the motherboard
ts into it.
EP2C612 Series are dual socket motherboards that support Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v3/v4
Series Processors. Please install a primary processor (BootStrap Processor) into “CPU1”
socket and then install a non-Primary Processor (Application Processors) into “CPU2”
socket. *For a single CPU, please install it into “CPU1” socket (framed by a square).
2.1 Screw Holes
Place screws into the holes indicated by circles to secure the motherboard to the chassis.

Remove the standoffs
from the chassis
Make sure to unplug the power cord before installing or removing the motherboard. Failure
to do so may cause physical injuries to you and damages to motherboard components.
Attention! Before installing this motherboard, be sure to unscrew and remove the three
standos at the marked location, under the motherboard, from the chassis, in order to
avoid electrical short circuit and damage to your motherboard.
