Maintenance Cleaning of the air filter Not for the model HW 09CA12 HW O9CCO3 I Push down the PUSH key at the two ends of the lower part of the air inlet grating Release it and the air filter will jump up from the air inlet grating 2 Nip the air filter and lift for about 5mm gently then pull it out from the lower part 3 Get rid of the dust by vacuum cleaner or warm water under 40 C After cleaning dry it completely at shady and cool place 4 Nip the bar of the air filter insert at the empty groove of the bottom end of the air inlet grating and push it along the track of the filter to the full stop position 5 Push down the PUSH key at the two ends of the air filter The job is done when a sound of Click is heard Disposal of the condensed water Generally there are two methods available on disposal of the condensed waler I Block the bottom plate hole of the conditioner with rubber lid install water outlet pipe on the back hole and let the condensing waler flow from the back hole of the conditioner sec Fig I In this method the accumulated condensed waler in the bottom plate is hit by the fan onto the heal exchanger and evaporated and blown out from the machine It can cool the heal exchanger radiator more quickly and improve the energy efficiency of the conditioner But the hitting noise by the fun al the outdoor side is relatively large 2 Block the back hole of the conditioner with rubber lid and install water outlet pipe to the bottom hole which can make the condensed water flow out from the bottom plate see Fig 2 This method can reduce the hitting noise by the fan at ihe outdoor side If necessary the above two methods can both have extra pipe added on the water outlet pipe available on the market 3 For HW 09XXX AW094AAMBA inserting Ihe drain elbow into the hole at the back of unit casing refer to Fig 3 11 Remove the rubber plug from bottom of chassis 2 Fix Ihe drain pan with 3 or 4 screws as shown in Ihe Fig3 3 Connect drain hose to Ihe drain pan 4 When heating remove the rubber stopper and drain the condensate see Rg 4 16
