Identifying Your Motherboard Revision
The revision number on your motherboard looks like this: "REV: X.X." For example, "REV: 1.0"
means the revision of the motherboard is 1.0. Check your motherboard revision before updating
motherboard BIOS, drivers, or when looking for technical information.

- Cold reset button rty use this button to force your system to reboot this is usually used if a cpu crash or memory errors occur or warm reset doesn t work when tuning your system settings hitting this button to force the system to shutdown and boot again 19
- Cpu clock down button clk this button allows you to manually decrease the cpu external clock press once to decrease the external clock by 0 mhz or you can remap this button to lower the cpu multiplier in the bios so you can press once to decrease the cpu multiplier by one you can press the button continuously to adjust the value 19
- Cpu clock up button clk this button allows you to manually increase the cpu external clock press once to increase the external clock by 0 mhz or you can remap this button to raise the cpu multiplier in the bios so you can press once to increase the cpu multiplier by one you can press the button continuously to adjust the value 19

- Protection mode button limp_mode this button allows the system to automatically reboot with default or safe settings without having to clear cmos settings first this is useful in situations when users fail to boot up the system with their self defined memory parameters 19

- To meet expansion requirements it is recommended that a power supply that can withstand high power consumption be used 500w or greater if a power supply is used that does not provide the required power the result can lead to an unstable or unbootable system 22
- With the use of the power connector the power supply can supply enough stable power to all the components on the motherboard before connecting the power connector first make sure the power supply is turned off and all devices are properly installed the power connector possesses a foolproof design connect the power supply cable to the power connector in the correct orientation 22

- If you want install an m ssd in the 110mm hole that already has a motherboard heatsink standoff be sure to remove the ez latch plus clip first and use the motherboard heatsink screw to secure the heatsink and ssd 28

- Step 2 remove the protective film from the thermal pad on the m connector insert the m ssd into the m connector at an angle step 3 press down on the front end of the m ssd and make sure the m ssd is secured by the m ez latch plus clip remove the protective film from the thermal pad at the bottom of the motherboard heatsink and then replace the heatsink and tighten the screws diagonally 28
- There are two types of m ssds m sata ssds and m pcie ssds this motherboard only supports m pcie ssds please note that an m pcie ssd cannot be used to create a raid set with a sata hard drive please navigate to the configuring a raid set page of gigabyte s website for instructions on configuring a raid array 28
