Problem / malfunction Cause / remedy
General (all functions)
The appliance will not start • Are the power cord, plug and socket intact?
• Before checking, unplug the power cord; have all repairs carried
out by authorised specialists
• Is the appliance switched on? ➔ Check
Vacuuming (dry vacuuming in aqua filter mode)
Dust comes out of the appliance
during vacuuming
• Is the aqua filter system fitted as described in the user manual?
• Is there enough water in the waste water tank?
➔ Check
Suction power gradually decreases • Is the special hygiene filter clogged? ➔ Clean the special
hygiene filter
• Are the nozzles, suction pipe or hoses blocked by coarse dirt?
➔ Stretch the hose during operation to loosen the blockage;
remove the blockage
• Is the housing cover properly shut? ➔ Check
Insufficient suction power • Is the ejector in the suction port clogged? ➔ Disassemble and
clean or rinse out with water
• Is the special hygiene filter clogged? ➔ Clean the special
hygiene filter
• Are the nozzles, suction pipe or hoses blocked by coarse dirt?
➔ Disassemble and clean
• Is the electronic suction power control set to MIN? ➔ Set the
suction power to MAX
• Is the mechanical suction power control on the handle open?
➔ Close the sliding button on the handle
Numerous water droplets on the
inside of the housing cover
• There is probably too much dust in the aqua filter system
➔ Clean the aqua filter system, change the water
Vacuuming (dry vacuuming with filter bag)
Dust comes out of the appliance
during vacuuming
• Is the filter bag correctly fitted?
Insufficient suction power • Is the filter bag full? ➔ Put in a new bag

Spray extraction
The appliance switches off during
operation
• Is the waste water tank full (float switch triggered)?
➔ Empty it
• Have you tilted or suddenly turned the appliance (float switch
triggered)? ➔ Place the appliance in a level position and
switch it on.
Water comes out of the exhaust
openings
• Is the float in the waste water tank dirty and stuck, which
means it can no longer respond when the tank is full? ➔ Clean
the float and the tank
An excessive pool of water collects
in the suction chamber (a few drops
are considered normal).
• Are the gaskets and seal faces very dirty? ➔ Clean them
• Did you forget to put in the spray extraction insert? ➔ Check
Excessive foaming in the waste
water tank
• Are you using genuine THOMAS cleaning concentrate?
➔ Replace
No cleaning fluid comes out
although the pump is switched on
• Is there cleaning fluid in the spray solution tank? ➔ Top up
• Is the spray nozzle clogged? ➔ Place the nozzle in lukewarm
water for a while and then blow it out
• Is the tank connection duct clogged? ➔ Take out the fresh
water tank and use the crevice nozzle to thoroughly vacuum
any dirt from the tank connection duct (between the fresh water
tank and the housing)
Excessive residual moisture, cleaning
fluid is not properly extracted
• Is the electronic suction power control set to MIN? ➔ Set the
suction power to MAX

Is the mechanical suction power control on the handle open?
➔ Close the sliding button on the handle
• Is the nozzle lying correctly on the floor? ➔ Hold the nozzle
slightly more upright for vacuuming
