3. Place a towel around the neck and
shoulders of the person whose hair you
are trimming.
4. Make sure the person is seated so that
their head is roughly at your eye level.
Before trimming, comb the hair so that it
falls naturally and you can see the direc-
tion in which it grows.
5. Press the C button to switch on the
appliance.
6. Begin use.
7. Press the C button to switch off the
appliance after use.
Beard trimming
Using the U-Blade (width 30 mm).
1. If necessary, remove the attachment by
pressing in both side catches B and lifting
off.
2. Insert U-Blade carefully at the top and
press down until it clicks into place.
3. Loosen the beard hair by combing the
beard in the direction the hair grows.
4. Press the C button to switch on the
appliance.
5. Begin use.
6. Press the C button to switch off the
appliance after use.
Trimming hair or beards to a certain
length
Using the comb attachments 1 to 6
Comb # 1 2 mm
Comb #2 4 mm
Comb #3 8 mm
Comb #4 12 mm
Comb #5 16 mm
Comb #6 20 mm
* is designed for thinning out hair.
1).If necessary, remove the attachment
by pressing in both side catches B and
lifting off.
2). Insert attachment A (width 38 mm) or
8 (width 30 mm) carefully at the top and
press down until it clicks into place.
Note
The comb attachments fit both cutting
heads.
3). Push the comb attachment carefully
and firmly onto the rounded rear half of
the cutting head from above and let it
click into place.
4). Press the C button to switch on the
appliance.
5). Begin use.
6). Press the C button to switch off the
appliance after use.
After use, remove the comb attachment 1
to 6 by pressing the locking tab at the
back and removing the comb attachment.
Thinning out hair
(thinning to a length of 2 mm)
1).If necessary, remove the attachment
by pressing in both side catches B and
lifting off.
2).Insert attachment A (width 38 mm)
carefully at the top and press down until it
clicks into place.
3).Push the comb attachment carefully
and firmly onto the rounded rear half of
the cutting head from above and let it
click into place.

appliance.
5).Begin use.
6).Press the C button to switch off the
appliance after use.
7).After use, remove the comb attachment
by pressing the locking tab at the back
and removing the attachment.
Close shaving
Using the shaving attachment 8
1). If necessary, remove the attachment
by pressing in both side catches B and
lifting off.
2). Insert shaving attachment 8 carefully
at the top and press down until if clicks
into place.
3). Press the C button to switch on the
appliance.
4). Begin use.
5). Press the C button to switch off the
appliance after use.
Note
■ Do not apply strong pressure when
shaving, as this could damage the single
blade foil.
Note
■ You can remove the single blade foil of
the shaving attachment.
To do this, press both side catches on the
shaving attachment. Clean the blade head
with the cleaning brush supplied.
Nose trimmer
Slide the switch to the “ON” position.
Carefully place blade of trimmer to cut
nose hairs. Use the same procedure for
trimming ear hair and shaping eyebrows.
Cleaning and care
l Switch off the appliance and
unplug the power supply unit from the
mains.
l Remove the attachment and
clean the blade head with the brush
supplied.
Caution
l If cleaning with the brush is not
sufficient, you can also rinse the
attachment under running water.
However, only do this once the
attachment has been removed.
l The cutting head on the
attachment does not normally need to be
oiled. If you clean the attachment under
running water regularly but you also want
to maintain the original condition of the
cutting head for as long as possible, it is
worth oiling it at regular intervals with the
oil provided.
l Use a soft, dry cloth or the brush
supplied to clean the appliance housing
and the charging unit.
Caution
- Never put the appliance, charging unit or
power supply unit in water or any other
liquid.
- Before using the appliance again, ensure
that the all attachments have been
carefully dried using a soft towel.
- Do not use cleaning agents.
Note
Remove all clippings after each use.
