2.1 INTENDED USE

This machine is designed and built exclusively for:

• cutting grass and non-woody vegetation using nylon thread;

• cutting tall grass, brushwood and reeds using blades;

• use by a single operator.

2.2 MISUSE

All uses not included in chapter 2.1 Intended use are to be considered as misuse and in

particular, but not exclusively, the following:

• using the machine to sweep, with the trimmer head at an angle.

WARNING

The cutting device can throw objects and small stones as far as 15 meters or

more, causing damage or injury to people.

• trimming hedges or other work in which the cutting device is not used at ground level;

• pruning trees;

• cutting materials of non-vegetable origin;

• using cutting devices other than those recommended by the Manufacturer (see chapter 14.2

Recommended cutting devices);

• using the machine as a lever to lift, move or break objects;

• using saw blades.

2.3 RESIDUAL RISKS

Despite the care taken by the Manufacturer in complying with all safety requirements, there

remain residual risks that cannot be eliminated, such as:

• Ejected material that may damage the eyes.

• Hearing damage if no hearing protection is worn.

• Contact with hot parts.
