The electrical connections must be
done by an electrician according to IEC
60364-1.
The voltage indicated on the type plate
must correspond to the voltage of the
electrical source.
The installation of the electrical plug
may only be performed by the author-
ised customer service/electrician. The
electrical plug is not included.
Î If you have to use an extension chord,
then the same must always be rolled up
and have an adequate cross-section.
Î Set appliance switch to "0-STOP", and
plug the electrical plug into the socket.
The white container for the liquid softener is
located on the boiler.
The liquid softener prevents the calcifica-
tion of the heating spiral while operating
with calciferous tap water It is dosed into
the supply drop by drop
Î Refill liquid softener.
The metering is set to medium water rigidity
by the manufacturer
Î For other water rigidity call for Kärcher
customer service and have it adapted to
local facts

Under no circumstances fill solvents
(petrol, aceton, diluting agent etc.)
Avoid eye and skin contact.
Note
Unsuitable detergents can cause damage
to the appliance and to the object to be
cleaned. Use only those detergents that
have been approved by Kärcher. Observe
the dosage and other instructions provided
with these detergents. For considerate
treatment of the environment use detergent
economically.

and care appliances program.

Î Refill detergent.
Î Open the water supply.
Î Turn the appliance switch clockwise un-
til the pump starts.
Î Switch on the appliance and let it run
without the high-pressure hose until the
water exiting is bubble-free.
or
Î Switch it on and off repeatedly about
every 10 seconds with the hand spray
gun open until the water exiting is bub-
ble-free.
Note
To avoid damage, always direct the high-
pressure jet from a distance on the object to
be cleaned.
The spray angle is essential for the effec-
tiveness of the high pressure ray. Normally
work is performed with a 25° flat ray nozzle
(included).
