3 1 2 Power Source and Grounding Grounding Connect the grounding wire to the ground terminal of the outlet or a grounding contact which complies with the local electrical standards Never connect the grounding wire to a gas pipe the grounding wire for a telephone or a water pipe SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Power Source Use a power source with little voltage fluctuations If any other electrical equipment is sourced from the same power outlet make sure that the capacity of the outlet is not exceeded Never connect by means of a multiple socket any other appliances or machines to the outlet being used for the copier The outlet should be installed near the machine and should be easily accessible If an extension cord is needed use one with a higher capacity rating than the power consumption of the copier Make sure that no unusual excessive force is being applied to the power cord or extension cord
