3 1 INSTALLING THE COPIER 1 3 Operating Environment The operating environmental requirements of the copier are as follows Temperalure W C to 35 C 50 F to 95T with a fluctuation of toss than 10 C per hour 50 F per hour Humidity 15 to 85 with a fluctuation of less than 20 per hour 1 4 Power Source Use a power source with little voltage fluctuations The outlet should be located near the machine and easily accessible if any other electrical equipment is sourced from the same power outlet make sura that the capacity of the outlet is not exceeded Never connect by means of a multiple socket any other appliances or machines to the outlet being used for the copier The power source voltage requirements are as follows Voltage Fluctuations 10 Copying performance assured 15 Paper feeding performance assured Frequency Fluctuations 50Hz 2 5 Copying performance assured 60Hz 3 Copying performance assured 1 5 Grounding To prevent receiving electrical shocks in the case of electrical leakage always ground the copier Connect She grounding wire to The ground terminal of the outlet A grounding contact which complies with the local electrical standards Never connect the grounding wire to a gas pipe the grounding wire for a telephone or a water pipe 1 6 Moving If you need to transport the copier over a long distance consult your technical representative CHAPTER 1
