- Although the psr 540 will run either from an optional ac adaptor or batteries yamaha recommends use of the more environmentally safe ac adaptor follow the instructions below according to the power source you intend to use 12

- For battery operation the psr 540 requires six 1 v sum 1 d size r 20 or equiva lent batteries when the batteries need to be replaced battery low may appear on top of the display the volume may be reduced the sound may be distorted and other problems may occur when this happens turn the power off and replace the batteries replace the batteries as follows 12
