Basic Operation

• With the remote control
only the volume level can
be adjusted.
Adjusting the Volume/Balance (Between Left and
Right)/Fader (Between Front and Rear)/Defeat
1 Press Rotary encoder repeatedly to choose
the desired mode.
Each press changes the modes as follows:
Volume :
(MIN) ~ 0dB (MAX)
Balance : L15 ~ R15
Fader: R15 ~ F15
Subwoofer: 0 ~ 15
Defeat: ON/OFF
The actual displayed contents are different.
2 Tur n Rotary encoder until the desired sound
is obtained in each mode.
Setting defeat ON will turn MX of PXI-H990
side OFF and returns the EQ, etc. settings to
their initial values. When the DAI-C990 is
connected, DEFEAT is not displayed.
* When the PXI-H990 is connected:
The subwoofer level can be adjusted if the sub-
woofer is connected, and the subwoofer mode is set
to ON in the speaker settings on the PXI-H990.
When the DAI-C990 is connected:
The subwoofer level can be adjusted when the
subwoofer is connected.
If Rotary encoder is not pressed within 5 seconds
after selecting the BALANCE, FADER, DEFEAT or
SUBWOOFER mode, the unit automatically returns to
the VOLUME mode.

It is first necessary to set the speaker if combining with the Multimedia Manager (PXI-H990).
