VOL knob
Turning the knob clockwise increases the volume, whereas turning it counterclock-
wise decreases the volume.
Mode/Status indicator
Indicates the transmission/reception status with a two-color combination on the upper
and lower portions of the mode/status indicator.

Receiving signals with unmatched
audio conditions

• Receiving signals with unmatched tone frequency or DCS code.
• Receiving a signal level less than the RF Squelch S-meter level setting.
DIAL Knob
• Allows setting the operating band frequency.
Turning clockwise increases the frequency, whereas turning counterclockwise de-
creases the frequency.
• Allows selecting the desired items for setup, memory registration, group monitoring
operation, etc.
MIC Jack
Connect the provided microphone cable.

- Press and hold the mhz setup key for one second to enter the setup menu 2 rotate the dial knob to select the menu item to be adjusted 3 press the mhz setup key momentarily to enable adjustment of the selected menu item and then rotate the dial knob to per form the actual adjustment 4 after completing your selection and adjust ment press and hold the mhz setup key for one second to exit the setup menu and resume normal operation 29
