Management Options

The system can be Command Line managed, out-of-band, through either the serial console ports (RS-232/USB)

or the Management Ethernet port (Telnet) which is located on the front of the command module. The user may

also choose to use the web-based User Interface, which is accessible through a web browser.

Web-based User Interface

After successfully installing the Switch, the user can monitor the Command Module's LEDs, display statistics and

logs graphically using the following web-browsers:

Microsoft® IE8 or higher

Mozilla Firefox 4 or higher

Opera 9 or higher

Apple Safari 5.1 or higher

Google Chrome 4 or higher

The user can also configure the Management Interface Ethernet Port settings through the WEB UI (WEB-base

User Interface).

SNMP-Based Management

The Switch can be managed with an SNMP-compatible console program. The Switch supports SNMP version

1.0, version 2.0 and version 3.0. The SNMP agent decodes the incoming SNMP messages and responds to

requests with Management Information Base (MIB) objects that are stored in the database. The SNMP agent

updates the MIB objects to generate statistics and counters.

Remote Command Line Interface using Telnet

The user can use telnet to access the Switch through the Management Ethernet port. The command line

interface provides complete access to all Switch management features.
