Installation Site Requirements
The DGS-6600 series switch should be used indoors. To ensure normal operating conditions and prolong the life
of the Switch, the following conditions should be met.
Rack Mounting Requirements
If rack mounting the DGS-6600 series switch, the rack mounting should meet the following requisites:
Try to install the Switch in an open cabinet. If the Switch is installed in a closed cabinet, ensure that the
cabinet has good ventilation and good heat dissipation system.
Ensure that the cabinet is both stable and strong enough to support the weight of the DGS-6604 or
DGS-6608 chassis and its installed components.
Ensure that the cabinet dimensions allow enough space for installation of the front, rear, left and right
panels of the DGS-6604 or DGS-6608 Switch.
