6.2.3 Converting Color Spaces

• Open the image Þ le.

• Select File > Color Settings > ProÞ le Setup. Deselect the Embed ProÞ les

option.

• Select Image > Mode > ProÞ le to ProÞ le.

• For From, choose the appropriate ICC proÞ le for your image (e.g.: if it was

scanned and the colors have not been adjusted since then, choose the

proÞ le for your scanner).

• For To, choose the appropriate ICC proÞ le for your printer.

• For Engine, choose a CMM.

• For Intent, choose a rendering intent. The proÞ le‘s default one is perceptual.

• Do not activate Black Point Compensation when working with ICC proÞ les.

• Click OK.

6.2.4 Printing the Converted Image

When printing the converted image choose CMYK Color for Space in the Photoshop

5.0 print window (do not choose the CMYK proÞ le, otherwise the proÞ le will be

applied a second time).
