6.3.2 Converting the Color Space
The command Convert to ProÞ le which is to be used here, is similar to the ProÞ le to
ProÞ le command in Photoshop 5.x.
Choose Image > Mode > Convert to ProÞ le
Source Space: The current color space of the document.
Destination Space: The color space after converting.
Conversion Options: Lets you choose which converting engine and rendering intent
should be used.
Preview: Checking this option provides the possibility to see how different Conversion
Options affect the document´s appearance.
Note: The document must have an embedded proÞ le in order to see changes in
appearance. Convert to ProÞ le changes the RGB numeric values (as shown
in the Info palette), but the color´s appearance remains the same.
6.3.3 Assigning and Deleting ProÞ les
You can embed proÞ les to untagged documents and establish color management
in your entire workß ow. For instance, attach a downloaded Ricoh proÞ le (e. g. CS
E-170.Reß .Agfa.v01.ICC) to your scanned document.
Choose Image > Mode > Assign ProÞ le
