 Add / Remote SNMPv3 new users

1. Click SNMP, SNMPv3, Users.

2. Click New to configure a user name.

3. In the New User page, define a name and assign it to a group, then click Add to save the configuration and return to the

User Name list.

4. To delete a user, check the box next to the user name, then click Delete.

5. To change the assigned group of a user, click Change Group in the Actions column of the users table and select the new

group.

The “SNMPv3 User – New” page includes the following fields:

Object Description

• User Name

The name of user connecting to the SNMP agent.

(Range: 1-32 characters)

• Group Name

The name of the SNMP group to which the user is assigned.

(Range: 1-32 characters)

• Security Model

The user security model; SNMP v1, v2c or v3.

The security level used for the user:

• Security Level

-noAuthNoPriv

There is no authentication or encryption used in SNMP

communications.
